Elliptical Eclipse
for Karen and Robyn

My love is like
a series of ellipses…
it trails off
under … the shadow
of the planet
blocking…
the…
sun…
an eclipse.

My love…removes
words from quotations
and is literally
ironically
the very definition of
kicking ass.
